Overview

7 Essential PCB & integration tips
- Respect the mechanism path. Keep copper, paste, and components out of the switch moving area and slider travel.
- Ground the shell properly. Add multiple short vias from shell pads to the ground plane; this improves EMC for cellular designs.
- Stencil discipline. Follow the recommended footprint and stencil apertures; avoid over-paste on shell pads to maintain ≤ 0.10 mm coplanarity.
- Short, clean SIM routing. Keep CLK/IO/RST/VCC traces short, avoid noisy RF zones, and place ESD devices close to the connector.
- Debounce card detect. The detect output is Eject = ON / Mating = OFF; add 5–10 ms firmware debounce.
- Service access. Place the Micro SIM card connector where field techs can reach it without stressing the slider.
- Plating fit-for-purpose. Match Au thickness to cycle count and environment—upgrade to 15–30 µin for long field deployments.
