7 Essential PCB & integration tips

  1. Respect the mechanism path. Keep copper, paste, and components out of the switch moving area and slider travel.
  2. Ground the shell properly. Add multiple short vias from shell pads to the ground plane; this improves EMC for cellular designs.
  3. Stencil discipline. Follow the recommended footprint and stencil apertures; avoid over-paste on shell pads to maintain ≤ 0.10 mm coplanarity.
  4. Short, clean SIM routing. Keep CLK/IO/RST/VCC traces short, avoid noisy RF zones, and place ESD devices close to the connector.
  5. Debounce card detect. The detect output is Eject = ON / Mating = OFF; add 5–10 ms firmware debounce.
  6. Service access. Place the Micro SIM card connector where field techs can reach it without stressing the slider.
