Description

USB Type-C 2.0 16P receptacle DW-MUB-CF016873-01TR-01 is a right-angle, top-mount PCB connector designed for USB 2.0 data and power interfaces. The supplied drawing confirms a 16-contact arrangement with A-side and B-side terminals for GND, VBUS, CC1, CC2, D+, D−, SBU1 and SBU2. The Type-C mating interface is housed in high-temperature-resistant UL94 V-0 plastic with copper-alloy contacts and a stainless-steel front shell.

This connector uses surface-mount signal contacts combined with four through-hole shell-retention stakes, creating a hybrid SMT and THT PCB mounting structure. The recommended PCB layout shows a 0.50 mm contact pitch, two Ø0.80 mm locating holes and four elongated shell-retention slots.

The connector is a raised top-mount design with a 3.50 mm center height and a stated 1.90 mm elevation. Key envelope dimensions include a 9.47 ± 0.25 mm body width, 8.00 ± 0.25 mm body depth, 8.34 mm front-shell width and 9.22 ± 0.15 mm rear-shell width.

The USB Type-C 2.0 16P receptacle has a drawing-specified current rating of 5.0 A and voltage rating of 20 V. Contact resistance is specified at 40 mΩ maximum per pin, while shield resistance is 50 mΩ maximum. The insulation resistance is 100 MΩ minimum, and the dielectric withstand voltage is 100 VAC for one minute.
